The VIMY RIDGE Bike
Cranked Customs is always looking to do something different and exciting. Recently we were approached by Dave Robinson and the organizers of the Vimy Ridge Tour about helping them bring Vimy Ridge to young people -- to help build a new connection between WWI and the younger generation.
Dave's idea to build a chopper dedicated to the battle on the ridge was, in our view, the perfect choice.
Cranked, along with some of our closest partners, have worked together to build a tribute to those who fought on Vimy Ridge and those who continue to keep the memories of the fight on the ridge, alive.
Our Partners
This project couldn't have been undertaken if it wasn't for the great people that have come forward to help.
- The stock bike was donated by Bob Owen of
Roy Nichols Motors in Courtice; not a small part of the project considering a basic bike of this styling is worth over $40,000 dollars.
- The bodywork, paint, and custom airbrushing is being donated by Mike Palombo of
Kustom Airworks in Brampton. Mike has MANY hours into the paint and bodywork. The quality of his work is unsurpassed in the bike industry.
Dave Robinson and the staff of the Grenadier have also been a big help in supplying the various medals,
pins, background information, and opinions that have went into the metal and paint that make up the VIMY Bike.
Thanks a million for all of your help!
